Borrowing From Other Libraries

From SWITCH:

  • Search TOPCAT to find a title you would like to borrow from SWITCH
  • Click on the "Request" in the box under the item you want
  • If you haven't already done so, log in to your account with your SHSST email
  • Select the library from which you would like to borrow
  • Click on "Place hold":

From Another Library (Inter-Library Loan):

  • To get an item from outside the SWITCH consortium, it normally takes between 1-2 weeks, due to transportation time.  Articles may be received more quickly.

  • Gather as much information about the book or article as you can (title, author, publication year, etc.)

  • Click on the ILL Link in the library catalog and fill in as much information as you have. (This link will open in a new window.)

  • You'll get an email when your requested item arrives.

Printing/Copying/Scanning

There is a multi-function machine available in the library for your printing, copying, and scanning needs. It will collate, staple, print double-sided, etc.

Faculty, students, and staff: find your print code in your Populi account, under the "Info" tab.

Tech Support

The librarians are the 'first responders' for technology questions. We can help you with a variety of needs: syncing devices, log in and access issues, Populi, email, and other software help.

If we are unable to help with a technology question, we may refer you to IT support.
