Also, the student may use any edition of the Vatican II documents. Note that paragraph numbers are used for location purposes, rather than page numbers.

Use the initials of the Latin title of the document in citation. If you accessed the document online, add the usual access date and url.

Canon Law Citations

Use three parts: CIC + canon number + section number

CIC c.312 § 1

 

  1. CIC (this refers to Codex Iuris Canonae, the Latin title of canon law)
  2. c. 312 (this refers to canon 312)
  3. § 1 (this refers to section 1)

 

Alt + 0167 creates the § symbol. Press down on the Alt Key, then type in the numbers 0167 and lift your fingers, the character § will appear.
