Online Learning and Populi Information

A brief overview of resources available to students during the virus season.

Stream - an Office 365 app

When you record a classroom session on Zoom, the file is saved either to your laptop computer or in OneDrive.

Under Documents, there is a file called Zoom containing your recordings. Once the recording has been converted, you may upload it to Stream, then put that video link into your Populi course, on the Syllabus page under Files.

ScreenPal (formerly Screencast-o-matic)

Screencast-o-matic allows you to narrate actions taking place on your computer screen. You have access to a free version here.

Once you've made your recording, you can upload it to YouTube, Stream, or put the link in Populi, using the instructions above.

YouTube

Many of you may be familiar with loading videos into YouTube. You may use your phone or a video camera to record, then add it.

When loading videos, you have the option to publish it or leave it unpublished. "Published" allows it to be found by anyone; "Unpublished' means only someone with the link can view it.

Do not use this option for practicum recordings.
