Milwaukee!

Your guide to events and interesting things about Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin.

Musts!

Take in a fish fry (a Friday night tradition in Milwaukee).

See the lakefront.

Eat frozen custard. For those not familiar with this lovely treat, frozen custard is similar to ice cream but much more rich (and perhaps with a few more calories) than its creamy cousin. Eggs are added to the mix of cream and sugar.  Check out the restaurant guide for the great debate!

Go on a Miller Brewery Tour. Not only do you learn how beer becomes beer, you finish your tour with a sample of one of the MillerCoors products. Both beer and non-alcoholic beverages are available. Other crafts breweries also offer tours; check out this listing.

Eat a brat - bratwurst, that is. A local delicacy! Goes great with cheese curds.

See the Santiago Calatrava-designed Quadracci Pavilion that is part of the Milwaukee Art Museum. The new gallery space has allowed the permanent collection to grow to 2,500 pieces.

Go to a baseball game at American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers National League team. Or if your taste runs to the alternative, try the Milwaukee Milkmen, an independent professional baseball organization located near the seminary in Franklin.

Visit the Harley-Davidson Museum. You don't have to ride a Harley to enjoy this museum. It's filled with exhibits that not only showcase motorcycles, but much about history and American road trips. Located at 400 Canal Street, it's just down the road from the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino.
