Josephine's Children Inc. is the dream of Regina Imwa Bakala and David Bakala, an asylum refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Now a US citizen, she dreams of reaching out to the children born from rape with support and sanctuary.

These children, born without names and rejected by their families due to the stigma of their conception, have been given David and Regina's last name.
