1. Go to nytimes.com/passes
2. Create a free NYTimes.com account using your Sacred Heart email (shsst.edu) address. For example: ldehon@shsst.edu.
3. Create a password for your account.
4.  You will receive an email from the New York Times to verify your shsst.edu address.  Click on the link provided.
5. You have successfully claimed a Pass when you see the Start Your Access screen.

To renew your pass you need to go through these same steps again.

• You need to have a valid shsst.edu email address
• You must create a NYTimes.com account with your shsst.edu email address
• You cannot claim an Academic Pass if you are already a digital access subscriber.
